The Harriers Cheshire Track & Field round 3 match was staged at the Crewe Cumberland Stadium last weekend where the club competitors turned in some fine results. The under 11 girls were represented by a trio of Jessicas, namely Parsons, Pugh, and Wright, each picking up second place points in the A,B,& C 75m sprints, Jess Wright, 12.0s, Jess Pugh, 12.5s, Jess Parsons,14.1s Wright was also the quickest in the 600m race with first place time of 2m.02.6s, Jess Parsons close behind with a 4th place 2m.10.7s, and Jess Pugh in 6th place in 2m.19.8s. Jess Wright won the long jump A points with a best leap of 3.54mtrs, Jess Parsons took the 2nd B points with her best effort of 2.54mtrs Jack Allen led off the under 11 boys scoring with a 4th place in the 75m sprints, 11.7s, Adam Riley also had a good 4th place finish in the B race, 12.4s, Joe Riley ran a creditable 13.9s for the 6th place C points, and Jake Allen completed the sprint scoring with a 4th D place, 12.4s. Jack, Jake, and Joe were the scorers in the tougher 600m race, Jack crossing the line in 2nd place in a very good time of 1m.59.6s, Jake 9th, 2.17.9s, and Joe completing the scoring in 14th spot, 2m.47.6s. Jake and Adam each had 3rd place results in the long jump, Jake, 3.06mtrs, and Adam 2.72mtrs.Adam and Jake then contested the javelin event, both coming away with maximum points, Jake throwing winning 13.02mtrs, and Adam with 12.75mtrs. In the 4x100m relay, the boys took the 3rd place points, 68.5s. In the 100m races for the under 13 girls, Amy Pearson scored the A points with a 2nd place,a Grade 4 performance 15.5s, Emma Scott took the B 3rd points, 15.7s, Amy Wright was also 3rd in the C race, 15.9s, and Masie Ford had a 4th place in the D race, 16.8s Maisie was the A points winner in the 800m finishing 4th, 3m.06.9s, Emma was in 5th place, 3m.08.6s, and Amy Wright 7th, 3m.13.0s Amy Pearson led the scoring in the long jump with a best of 3.86mtrs another Grade 4 performance, Emma's 3.32mtrs won the B points. Amy Wright had a non scoring best of 3.75mtrs. Maisie had a best throw of 8.57mtrs in the javelin event, good for the 3rd A points. Josh Parkinson led off for the under 13 boys competition, with a Grade 4 2nd place in the 200m sprint, 30.3s, Robert McGeachie bettered this with a 1st in the B race, 30.1 Grade 4, and brother Richard taking the C points in a time of 32.6s. In the 800m race Robert was the 2nd placed runner just missing the win by under less than a tenth of a second, 2m.33.4s making this his second Grade 4 of the day, Richard taking the 4th place, 2m.46.5s, and Josh, 8th, 2m.53.0s Josh had a best jump of 1.20m to win the 3rd A points in the high jump, and Robert took the 2nd B spot with 1.10m Sam Ford and Liam Renton were the under 15 boys competitors, Sam scoring the 4th A points in the 200m sprint, 30.3s, he then had a best of 3.50m in the long jump which won the 4th A points, and completed his events with a 3rd A in the javelin, throwing 15.67m. Distance runner Liam just had one event to concentrate on, and came away with a great win in the 1500m race, in a personal best time of 4m.45.8s and which was a Grade 4 performance.
