At the Norwich Union Regional Sportshall Challenge staged at Robin Park Wigan, some of the members of the Harriers were selected to represent Cheshire in the competition against teams from Cumbria, Lancashire, Greater Manchester, and Merseyside. Rachel Blount and Amy Wright were in the under 13 girls team, Ashley Pye, Robert McGeachie, Mark Deprose, and James Crosby were in the under 13 boys team, Aoife Haymer, Nicole Bell, and Amelia Connor were in the under 15 girls squad, and David Tomalin, Mike Fryer, and Nathan Dawson were part of the under 15 boys team. As a result of the outcome of the match, both of the under 13 teams won their competition and will be at the National final at the NEC, Birmingham, and the under 15 girls who actually came second will also be at the final because the winning Lancashire team can't be there. The under 15 boys finished in fourth place. |
