The bi-annual review of the Rules for Competition undertaken by UK Athletics will next come into effect on April 1st 2010. One significant change in the rules concerns the penalty to be imposed for a false start in all track events for senior competition. (Graded events will not be affected).

At the rearranged Cheshire Cross Country Championships staged at the Reaseheath College, Crewe on Saturday 13th February, the girls of the Harriers put on a good performance, the under 11's striking gold in their event.

In 2008 Scott Haines and his wife Elise visited the UK to see the Aviva Sportshall UK Final and other programmes such as the AAA Tom Pink Relays in action. He was accompanied by John Craig CEO Athletics Ontario and his wife Gael and they returned to Canada deeply impressed and full of enthusiasm.

Some Harriers members were involved in the Cheshire Schools Cross Country Championships which were held at the Wade Deacon High School Campus, Widnes on Saturday, 30th Jan.
