What a day for the Halton & Frodsham team who took part in the Regional Finals at Wigan representing Cheshire.

It saw two of our athletics become individual North West Regional Champions. Under 13 girl Jess Wright won, getting the gold in the 4 lap individual race and gold in the 8 lap parlauf. David Hayes became the Champion in the Shot Put getting gold in this event. David also came 2nd in the Triple Jump and the relay 4 x 2 lap saw him claim another gold.

Also taking part in the under 13 girls was Kate Merrill finishing third in the 6 lap individual race getting bronze and Emily Pearson got two golds in the obstacle and 4 x 1 relays.

In the under 15 girls, Emma Scott also ran well but narrowly missed out on a medal coming 4th in the Speed Bounce.

Ben Sutcliffe, in the under 13 boys, got two golds in the obstacle and 4 x 2 lap relays.

Mark Deeprose our other under 15 boy narrowly missed out on a medal in the shot, only on count back, he had a good run in the parlauf also.

Not only did we come away with some fantastic results and medals the Under 13 and Under 15 girls along with the Under 15 boys were part of the winning Cheshire team for the overall event in their age groups and will be travelling to Birmingham in April to represent the North West in the UK Finals. Unfortunately the under 13 boys came in second place.
