Halton & Frodsham affiliated this year to the Manchester Area Cross Country League and the athletes braved mud, rain and freezing conditions to put in some great performances in a tough competition.

The under 11 girls, who took part in 3 races out of the 5, ran in a team comprising, Georgia Aston-Massey, Charlie Harding, Jenny Pyatt, Alex Harding, Charlotte King and Kelsey Grady for the girls and through their hard work and determination got the bronze team award.  Georgia who headed the team finishing extremely well in each race secured herself a silver individual award.

The under 11 boys braved it out with Chris Larkin leading the way in each race for Halton finishing each race in the top 8 and 5th overall, a fine start to his cross country.  He was joined by Bradley Phillips who ran his first race for the club also finishing in fine form.

Although a disappointing turn out for the older groups the under 13 girls races were enjoyed by Jess Wright, Kiera Grady,Kate Merrill and Sian Ellis. They soldiered on, out in some hard and cold conditions.

In our older group U15's girls we had two competitors, Emma Louise Pyatt, Amy Wright. Emma finishing in the last cross country in the top 10.   The sole boy runner for U15 boys was Richard McGeagie, again running an impressive race in each round.

For the first time , the club had a Senior Women, Ginny Roberts.  Ginny ran well at both Sherdley Park and Boggart in Manchester.
