Some Harriers members were involved in the Cheshire Schools Cross Country Championships which were held at the Wade Deacon High School Campus, Widnes on Saturday, 30th Jan.

In the minor Girls race, Jess Wright took the 5th place, closley followed by Megan McEverley in 12th place. Kiera Grady was 26th, Emily Ross was 50th and Sally Hulse took the 52nd place. These girls were representing the Halton schools district.

Running in the Junior girls race Kate Merrill representing Halton district was 9th and Emma Pyatt representing the Mid Cheshire district was in 12th place. We also had Emma Scott running in the Junior race but despite her turning out for her school a disappointed Emma had to pull up due to being ill.

In the minor boys race, Adrian Bennett came home in 23rd place for the Halton district and in the Junior boys race, Richard McGeachie also running for Halton was placed 52nd.

Following the race four of our athletes have been selected to run for Cheshire next weekend at Leicestershire. Congratulations to Jess Wright, Megan McEveley, Kate Merrill and Emma Pyatt, and a special good luck from us all for Saturday.
