All six Harriers came home with medals from the North West Regional Finals of the national Sportshall season.

Jonathan, Annabel, Michaela, Chris, Sam and Tom each finished in the top three in individual events on a day which saw Cheshire top the tables in three of the four team events, sending three club members on their way to the national finals at Birmingham in April.

In the U13 girls team competition, the Cheshire team topped the table comfortably. Annabel took individual gold in the 6 lap race, as well as a silver in the high jump. Michaela took silver in the standing triple jump, and the Harrier's pairing also took gold in the 8x2 Paarlauff event. Both will be looking to repeat their performances at the national final.

Despite the Cheshire team finishing third in the overall competition, there was individual success for the 3 boys from Harriers. Tom picked up a gold medal in the 4 lap race, and a silver in the shot put. Sam took silver in the standing long jump and Chris took bronze in the speed bounce.

Although there were no Harriers taking part in the U15 girls competition, Cheshire athletes completely dominated this category as they took gold, silver and bronze in the individual competition (as well as 4th place!), and the Cheshire team will now head down to Birmingham for the finals.

In the U15 boys, Jonathan was representing Cheshire and Harriers. Jonathan finished joint 8th in the individual competition, and took away a silver medal from the standing long jump and a gold as a team member in the 4x2 lap relay squad. The Cheshire team also won this age category, with a narrow victory over a very strong Greater Manchester team, so Jonathan will be off to the NIA in April.

Full results of the event are on the Sportshall website.
