Spring Relays

The picturesque setting of Marbury Country Park, Northwich was the venue for the 2nd staging of the annual Cheshire AA Junior Spring Road Relays, where Halton and Frodsham Harriers featured in the awards.

The under 11 'A' team comprising Georgia Massey, Annabell Kitchen and Jess Wright took the 1st Cheshire award with an overall time of 26m.02s, Jess running the 2nd fastest leg in 8m.07s.

The 'C' team of Charlotte King, Sally Hulse and Jenny Pyatt taking the 2nd Cheshire award in 29m.49s.

Emily Ross, Millie Tobin and Charlotte Davies made up the 'B' string finishing just outside the Cheshire awards in 4th place, 31m.47s.

Jess Dexter, Rachael Faint and Molly Stradling were the 5th Cheshire team to finish in 34m.42s

The under 11 boys also figured in the awards, Curtis Taylor, Harry Stubbs and Will Parsons won the 2nd Cheshire team award in 25m.54s, Will running the 3rd fastest leg in 8m.09s.

The 'B' team was an incomplete team but Jack Peacock and Luke Bratt each ran their respective legs, Jack in 8m.39s and Luke in 10m.08s

The under 13 girls team of Emma Scott, Kate Merrill and Emma Pyatt were the winners of the 3rd Cheshire team award completing the 3 legs in a time of 34m.19s.

Mark Coman and David Tomalin ran as an incomplete team, Mark completing his leg in 9m.55s and David in 10m.41s

The Harriers begin their 2009 track and field season on Sunday 19th April in the 1st round match of the Cheshire League at the Richmond Park stadium, Ashton under Lyne, 1pm start.
