Due to the large number of teams competing on Sunday in the Sportshall event, additional car parking has been made available by Halton Council. Open from 11am, the Halton Borough Council offices car park will be available.

To access the car park, proceeding up Kingsway with the Leisure Centre on your right, on your left there is a Council Building with adequate parking. If you get to Riverside College you have gone too far.

Please make sure you take care crossing the very busy road - there are pedestrian crossings with lights that should be used.

I'm sure you need no reminding that the first Sportshall event of the year takes place this weekend on Sunday 3rd October at Kingsway Leisure Centre in Widnes.

We need competitors from all age groups (U11, U13, U15) to turn out and represent the club. If you've never been before, don't be shy of turning out - Sportshall events are a great introduction to competitive athletics, and every athlete that turns out will be able to take part.

Contact Lynne or Phil if you need more details!

Deeside hosts the final round of the Cheshire T&F League match for the Harriers this weekend, on Sunday 5th September at Deeside Athletics Club.

In the Women's events, Harriers are battling to overtake Stockport Colwyn Bay to get a top 8 finish, whilst in the Men's events Harriers need a good performance to hold off Trafford AC to take 10th place in the league.

The Under 11's combined scores put them locked in a four way battle with Macclesfield, East Cheshire and Colwyn Bay to earn 3rd place in the league overall.

We need a good turn out across all age groups and in as many events as possible to get maximum points from this meeting - and the weather might even be kind to us!!
